SDF Flow Sensors

SDF flow sensors are highly accurate instruments which are used for measuring flow rates of gases, steam and liquids. SDF sensors are approved in inumerbale applications. They are suitable for highly sophisticated requirements.

Application areas:

  • Process measurements of nromal air, pressurized air, natural, combustion and other gases, even with extremely high temperatures (up to 1200°C)

  • Steam measurements for pressures up to 180 bar and temperatures up to 560°C
    (->more)

  • Flue gas flow measurement (even according to 17. BImSchG), especially for steam saturated gases, high dust loads, corrosive atmospheres etc.
    (->more)

  • Flow measurements in liquids with medium or low viscosity

  • Continuous measurements where no process interruption for assembly/disassembly is possible (->more)

Essential features:

  • Easy to install
  • Low remaining pressure drop
  • No moving parts
  • High long term stability
  • Nearly maintenance free
  • Safe prevention of capillar action
  • High stability against mechanical stress combined with low self-weight
  • Measurement in both directions is possible
  • Wide linearity range
  • Wide scope of materials and therefore highest resistiveness against corrosion
  • Error margin (apporved accuracy)): ±1% from the measured value - independent from wearout at the outside shape of the sensor
  • Repeatability: ±0,1%
  • Standard material: 316SS - optional materials are Hastelloy B and C in different variations, Monel, 1.4539, Inconel, alloy 625 u.v.a.m.
  • Application ranges: pressure between 0..640 bar and temperature between -200..+1200°C
