Sensors and Transmitters

Who measures flow often has to or would like to measure temperatures, pressures or levels gauges as well. S.K.I. also offers the suitable products for this.

Pressure -, absolute pressure or differential pressures measurement

are part of nearly every technical plant. Naturally apart from the accuracy requirements high demands are made at composition and protection class of the devices.

S.K.I. only uses pressure measuring technique of leading manufacturers who meet highest requirements. All relevant measuring ranges are covered by these devices, protection class is IP65 or higher, materials for all conceivable ranges of application, explosion-proof execution etc.. - all questions of pressure measuring technique are answered in this range of products.

Pt100 and Thermocouples

are the most frequently used industrial temperature sensors. Resistance thermometers of type Pt100 are preferred due to their high accuracy and the long-time stability of the measuring signal.Their function is based on the change of the resistance of a platinum coil which amounts to accurately 100 ohms at 0°C - therefore the designation "Pt100". For applications over 650° C this kind of sensor is best choice however.

Thermocouples are the types of ensors which are mostly used with high temperatures. The thermocouple consists of two thin wires of different material, the Thermoschenkel. If a temperature difference is formed between the two junction points at the end of these thermo wires then an electrical voltage develops between them. This voltage increases with the mplied temperature difference is which is used as measure for the temperature measurement. Typically it is tried to put the one junction ("cold junction") on the reference temperature of 0°C. In technical execution the thermocouples are put in metallic or ceramic protective tubes.
